REMOTE LEARNING
Remote Learning for Positive Covid Cases
Our current position on home-learning is that any positive PCR test probably means that a child is not well therefore, we would not expect any child to complete any school work if they are absent from school due to ill health. However, if this is not the case (with Covid) and parents feel a child is able to work and want us to send home remote learning materials then, we can do so on an individual basis, within 24 hours (Monday to Friday) of receiving the request.
All requests for work should be emailed to admin@moulsham-jun.essex.sch.uk.
Any completed work doesn’t need to be sent back to us before the child returns to school. If a child wishes, they can email it in to their Year group email address and/or when they do return to school they can stick it into their books.
As an aside, the remote learning offer is being reviewed. At present, for the relatively small amount of cases in school it is not an effective use of Teachers time to create lots of work each week, which may not be required. The process above means we will only produce the work as/ when it is required and we will no longer have weekly timetables automatically on-line.
