WELCOME TO MOULSHAM JUNIOR SCHOOL
On behalf of the staff, pupils and governors of Moulsham Junior School I’d like to welcome you to our website. Our school caters for over 650 pupils from Year 3 to Year 6.
Everything that we do at Moulsham Junior School is based around our core values; which are traditionally known as the four S’s namely: Sharing, Supporting, Striving and Succeeding.
We believe that if we share our time, compassion and smile with all we meet our school will be a patient, kind and happy place to be. By offering support to each other emotionally, socially and with our learning we will develop understanding and tolerance of the diversity within our world. If we strive to challenge our academic capacity we will be lifelong learners with a growth mind set open to ambition. It is these three values that enable success be that emotional, spiritual, cognitive, physical or social.
We are a fully inclusive school, supporting a wide range of needs. As a result of our inclusive nature the pupils at our school have an excellent awareness of the variety of physical, emotional and educational needs. The children value this and, consequently, develop a considerate, caring and respectful attitude towards each other.
While it is our priority that the education our pupils receive here will enable them to progress confidently into the next phase of their education, it is also part of our vision that all our children are exposed to positive and interesting experiences, that they are aware of the endless possibilities that await them and that they are nurtured in order to develop within them a confidence to embrace whatever comes their way.
We (the entire staff) share this vision and recognise children as unique individuals. We work tirelessly to provide a varied and engaging curriculum and a positive school experience. Our school is always a hive of purposeful activity.
We hope the website gives a true flavour of Moulsham: friendly and hard-working children; passionate, welcoming staff who are fervent about achieving the very best for our pupils and interested governors, alongside caring parents and friends of the community who all make this school a wonderful place to learn.
Of course, a website is no substitute for a visit in person. If you’d like to pay us a visit please feel free to arrange a suitable time with the school office.
We welcome you to our school and trust you will find your time with us an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

Welcome Message from Head Students
Hi there,
My name is Anthony, and I am one of the Head students at Moulsham Junior School.
I feel very proud to be a part of this great and prestigious school and would like to share with you why MJS is no ordinary school but the one-stop-shop for academic excellence.
We have an amazing crop or management team as well as teachers who are dedicated and who go the extra mile towards supporting each student to achieve physical, moral and academic excellence. Our exceptional teachers are committed to expanding our knowledge and fostering our growth. Once a week, students can visit the school library, where they can select books from their favorite authors such as Roald Dahl, David Walliams, Anthony Horowitz, and many more. We have an extensive collection of books to explore and broaden our knowledge about systems, cultures, places, various aspects of our society as well as prospective careers any student may be interested in.
It will interest you to know also that we have a straightforward and engaging house point system. Our houses-Earth, Fire, Water and Air-compete to earn points. When any class achieves its goal of reaching a certain amount of house points, members of that class receive truly exciting rewards! How cool is that?
Furthermore, MJS offers a variety of clubs for students to join. These clubs such as the football club, Chess Club, Lego club etc. were set up and have been supervised by the school management team. They are skewed towards ensuring both physical and mental alertness of each student as we strongly believe in the saying that ‘All work and no play...makes Jack a dull boy.” Thus, there is a balance of work and play in our school.
Again, there is a playground for children to have fun and relax at during break and lunch, as well as ample playground equipment to enjoy. Students could participate in a range of activities as there is something for everyone.
Ever since I joined Moulsham Junior School, it’s been a wonderful experience. I invite you to come to our school, where we believe in having fun while learning and with the strength of our youth and support of the amazing school team, we will move to greater heights. Enjoy your time here and make the most of all the wonderful opportunities available!
This school is really fantastic, you don’t want to be somewhere else, trust me.
Many Thanks
Anthony
