WELCOME TO MOULSHAM JUNIOR SCHOOL

On behalf of the staff, pupils and governors of Moulsham Junior School I’d like to welcome you to our website. Our school caters for over 650 pupils from Year 3 to Year 6.

Everything that we do at Moulsham Junior School is based around our core values; which are traditionally known as the four S’s namely: Sharing, Supporting, Striving and Succeeding.

We believe that if we share our time, compassion and smile with all we meet our school will be a patient, kind and happy place to be. By offering support to each other emotionally, socially and with our learning we will develop understanding and tolerance of the diversity within our world. If we strive to challenge our academic capacity we will be lifelong learners with a growth mind set open to ambition. It is these three values that enable success be that emotional, spiritual, cognitive, physical or social.

We are a fully inclusive school, supporting a wide range of needs. As a result of our inclusive nature the pupils at our school have an excellent awareness of the variety of physical, emotional and educational needs. The children value this and, consequently, develop a considerate, caring and respectful attitude towards each other.

While it is our priority that the education our pupils receive here will enable them to progress confidently into the next phase of their education, it is also part of our vision that all our children are exposed to positive and interesting experiences, that they are aware of the endless possibilities that await them and that they are nurtured in order to develop within them a confidence to embrace whatever comes their way.

We (the entire staff) share this vision and recognise children as unique individuals. We work tirelessly to provide a varied and engaging curriculum and a positive school experience. Our school is always a hive of purposeful activity.

We hope the website gives a true flavour of Moulsham: friendly and hard-working children; passionate, welcoming staff who are fervent about achieving the very best for our pupils and interested governors, alongside caring parents and friends of the community who all make this school a wonderful place to learn.

Of course, a website is no substitute for a visit in person.  If you’d like to pay us a visit please feel free to arrange a suitable time with the school office.

We welcome you to our school and trust you will find your time with us an enjoyable and worthwhile experience.

Mrs M Staley (Headteacher)

Message from Head Boy

Welcome to Moulsham Junior School. I am Alex, Moulsham Junior’s Head Boy.

This school has simple, easy-to-follow rules, convenient pouches on the back of chairs, kind teachers and fun lessons. A wide variety of clubs run before and after school including football, netball and Lego club; if you are interested, you should be able to find something that you enjoy. The playground equipment is really fun and Sports Day, which is once a year, is amazing!

Moulsham Junior School is an amazing school with helpful teachers and brilliant climbing frames.

Fun guaranteed!

Yours Sincerely,

Alex

Message from Head Girl

Hello, my name is Emily and I have the great privilege of being Head Girl of Moulsham Junior School.

Our school is an amazing place for your child and has a lovely, caring atmosphere.  I am 100% sure your child will have a brilliant education and a fun time with friends.  It’s an excellent school with lots of kind members of staff.  Your child will get a chance to take part in lots of fun activities and interesting school trips.  Each term every class teacher sets a house point target and their students will try to earn as many house points as they can to put towards prize time.  The children can earn house points by helping someone on the playground or doing good work.  Prize time can be many things such as watching a movie in pyjamas or having extra play.  Ever since I started Moulsham Junior School I found that it was the perfect school for me and I hope that will be the same for your child.

Many thanks,

Emily
